REVIEW: Portobello Restaurant & Bar

I went out for dinner with a friend at Portobello Restaurant & Bar a few weeks back since there was a Groupon for it! When I first saw the restaurant outside I wasn't pleased with the display, however the inside interior makes up for it!
- 995 Bay Street - Toronto -
There was only one person serving food that evening and it was the chief, so I assume this small restaurant is independently owned? The server was very nice and I can tell her took his time to create and serve our food.

Salmon with fruits as the first course meal. The proportions were small but suitable since we were eating a 4 course meal.
2nd course meal: Soup of the day
To be honest, the soup didn't look very appetizing but it ended being one of my favourite meals! It was very creamy and it had just the right blend!
3rd course meal: I ended up picking the "Lobster Ravioli stuffed with Lobster in rose sauce" (on the left)
The proportions were WAY to small, and I was still hungry after. I wasn't satisfied with the main dish! Although it was delicious, I couldn't taste the lobster in the ravioli and there was only around 5-8 stuffed ravioli.
Last but not least; the 4th course was dessert. We both ordered Tiramisu. The texture was too wet for my liking, I could tell it was made days before and left in the freezer and deforested which resulted in the wet texture.

Overall, I don't think I would go back to this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and the server was amazing. But the proportions were not as good as I thought it'd be.
Enjoy :) !

June has Ended

I have personally dubbed June to be the month of goodbyes. Many of my friends have left on vacation, back to their home towns or leaving the country for good, or in some cases left this planet. I've said alot of goodbyes these past few days and I'm going to say another one to my best friend.
After work I went to meet up with my best friend at Square One. We had dinner at Jack Astors, and it was one more final good bye before she goes to travel the world. Jack Astors is definitely my to-go restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and the food is good. I always have good service no matter which location I go, and compared to other chain restaurants, I find this to have a decent typical pricing.

We ordered fancy drinks !

Our picks for the night!
Asaigo Chicken Bowties  //Jack's Garlic Pan Bread // Classic Ceasaeur Salad// Chicken Club Sandwich //
We made a quick stop to Playdium, an arcade that I believe is the biggest one in the Toronto area? To be honest, I was disappointed about the size, I've heard from many people it was really big, so I always had an image that it was much bigger than it's suppose to be, aha.
My small good bye gift for her and also because it's her birthday soon :)
Shirt is from Brandy Melville, U of T Lanyard and Justin Timberlake 20/20 Vision Album
My sweet friend whose stuck with me for the longest, I wish you the best in your future. I know you'll do fine no matter where you are. You're such a kind strong person, nothing can defeat you! Cheers! Till we meet again on the other side of the world ;) Love you lots xoxo
Enjoy !

FOODIE

FATTY LIFE:
Lately whenever I have time, my friends and I would go out to eat. It's becoming an unhealthy habit and a very costly one too. ): All these delicious food is making my appetite go bad for my horrible cooking skills LOL But mind you, I make delicious breakfast food! I'm constantly out and about but I never bring my camera, so excuse the low quality iPhone photo's!
After looking at all these pictures, I can't even begin to imagine how much I spend solely on food! I think it's really time for me to hit the gym!

(Middle) Froyo Bubble Gum Flavour - Menchies // Pineapple Fried Rice - Kim Dinh // Cappuccino - Timothy's

ERRANDS & SCHOOL:
Today was a errand full day, running around back and forth from the bank and filling out paper work. I spent majority of my day at school, I'm a bit behind on school work. Must do some catching up!

Outfit of the Day: Cape cardigan - Marshalls // Black lace tank - Sirens // Cross sequence shorts - EBay // Shoes - Forever21 // Lipstick - Miracle by NYX

Instead of always going out for food, I really need to start learning to cook for myself! For breakfast I made some eggs and sausages with instant milk tea on the side. Delicious !
I think I finally lined up my main sumer 2013 shoes ! Here are my picks! :) All under $20 each!

(Top row) Ballet Shoes - Forever21 // Cut outs - Marshalls
White sandals - Walmart (Only $9!) // Kimichi Blue Shoes - Urban Outfitters
 Heart phone case - Urban Outfitters // Cat eye sunglasses - Forever21 // Heels - Forever 21

After class, I met up with my boyfriend and my friend and we all went out for some froyo (: I ended up getting vanilla raspberry cupcake flavoured yogurt with ice cream cone flavoured yogurt topped with sprinkles, cheesecake crumble and strawberries! Delicious on a hot summer day!
We were suppose to set off fireworks at a near by park from Victoria Day left over's, but the boys had a spontaneous craving to visit the Great Blue Heron; a Casino. I personally don't fancy Casino's. I see it as a place of entertainment where many just end up throwing away their money or get addicted. I'm not against it, I just prefer using that money on something else materialistic. I ended up playing and I went home with an extra $15 in my pocket from slot machines, since I don't know how to play any table games!

BRUNCH:
Rushing back for a brunch date with my ex roommate, I wore the first things I saw in my closet! We went out for Moxie's for brunch. This is my first time at Moxie's and I'm impress. Although the price for their food is a bit on the expensive side, it did taste really good! I ordered the bacon and egg omelette (I forget the exact name).
Side note; I've been stopped so many times for my tights! Two ladies stopped me today to ask where I got them from :) They're def a hot item!

Outfit of the day: Top + Skirt - Forever 21 // Paris Themed Tights - ASOS // Shoes - Pacific Mall boutique

We had a catch up session, and it was great to see her one last time before she leaves Toronto for a few months. I'm going to miss her so much. ):

Enjoy!
